A Challenge for the new age
Modernisation, communications and innovation are now a reality and an integrated
part of our everyday life at the office of the FCI. In response to the many solicitations
that reach us daily from every part of the globe, we supply information and try
to provide the best possible services to our member countries and to the world of
organised dog-related activities.
In fact we continuously strive for excellence.
Suddenly the world has gone global in many respects and all of us feel the need
to be in full and immediate contact at all moments. Consequently, the need to communicate
within the major areas of our activities has increased and so have the demands for
immediate responses. For this reason also, the requests that are forwarded to our
Organisation at management level have increased tremendously and almost instantly.

But more than asking us to provide just efficient bureaucratic answers to the solicitations
we receive constantly, now we face a different challenge. In fact we are now required
to be ready to find instant solutions to different sorts of problems for immediate
application.
But the challenge we face for providing a change in our working structure is enormous
and cannot happen overnight.
To achieve this goal we urgently need to create a different inner management operational
system, to enhance relationships between people within our organisation, in order
to improve interchange between our different levels. In this way the right people
can get involved in creating results, resolving issues, and meeting different needs
in specific areas.
By doing this we can expect growth, strength and change within the FCI.
We can then be ready for the new age without losing track of our major set of operational
priorities which are related to the global protection, welfare and promotion of
our DOGS WORLDWIDE.
